If he gets on top, especially early, there\u2019s a real chance he can control or even submit Whittaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That\u2019s the one piece you can\u2019t ignore. De Ridder doesn\u2019t need to win minutes on the feet\u2014he just needs one clean entry, one clinch, one trip or level change, and he\u2019s where he wants to be. And when he\u2019s on top, he\u2019s not just holding you. He\u2019s constantly climbing, pressuring, and hunting for the sub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But still, I\u2019m riding with Whittaker. His takedown defense is solid, his ability to get back up is underrated, and the real difference-maker here is the pace and precision. Whittaker\u2019s not just going to let De Ridder walk him down.
