McVey’s a big dude who’s constantly pressing forward like he’s trying to delete you off the map. He’s got that “I’m coming to finish or die trying” energy, and when guys fight like that, they’re dangerous by default. But I’m still siding with Brunno Ferreira. Why? Because he’s just more tested.

Ferreira’s been in the UFC cage against guys that hit harder and are far more technical than McVey. He’s seen real adversity, dealt with it, and still finished dudes. His movement is underrated—he doesn’t just stand in front of you like a target, and he’s not afraid to mix in the grappling when needed. And if he touches your chin clean? You’re probably going to sleep.

McVey, on the other hand, is all pressure, no brakes. That sounds good until you realize that it means his defense is mostly just “hit me and see if I care.” That’s a dangerous game to play against someone like Ferreira, who will return fire and doesn’t need much room to generate power.

The problem is the moneyline. At -700, it’s unplayable. There’s no edge there. But the under 1.5, even at -285, makes way more sense. You’re getting a matchup between two guys who do not clock in for overtime. Either Brunno smokes McVey early with a clean counter or a takedown into hellfire, or McVey does what he always does—bite down, swing reckless, and break his opponent down with pure chaos. Either way, this isn’t going long.

This is classic car crash matchmaking. The under 1.5 is pricey, yeah—but in a fight this explosive, it’s worth every cent.

Prediction: Brunno Ferreira via KO Rd. 1 Now look, I’ll be honest—I don’t love the size difference here.
