They explode in and out of range, and they don’t hesitate to let their hands go early. But Moderos has a different kind of balance to him. His footwork isn’t just quick—it’s calculated. He’s not just darting in and out hoping to land something clean, he’s setting traps, cutting angles, and staying composed even in the chaos. Choinski, on the other hand, can be a bit wild when he engages. He’ll throw everything into a combo or a takedown attempt, and if it doesn’t work, you can see the cracks start to show when the fight drags out of the first round.

Now don’t get it twisted—Choinski’s grappling is dangerous. That’s his ace. If he gets top position early, he can cause serious problems, especially if he gets to a dominant position fast. But he hasn’t consistently shown that he can maintain that pace past the first five minutes. Once you make him work, once you get back to your feet a couple times, his game starts to slow. And that’s where Moderos thrives.

Marquel’s not just a striker with speed—he’s a grinder with proven grappling strength, and more importantly, grappling composure. He’s been in there with tougher competition, guys that push the pace and test your lungs, and he hasn’t wilted. He knows how to stay dangerous even when things aren’t going his way. That cardio edge matters a lot here, especially if Choinski dumps his energy chasing takedowns and can’t keep him down.

If this turns into a grindy, second- and third-round battle, it’s going to be Moderos all day. He’ll stay tighter, land the cleaner shots, and more importantly, keep his form while Choinski starts to get loose and desperate.

Prediction: Marquel Moderos Both guys are fast.
