Prediction: Santiago Luna via Submission
Both guys are down to trade, both are hittable, and both can crack, so you’re gonna get moments where it looks like either fighter could steal the momentum. But for me, I’m on Santiago Luna to get this one done and here’s why.
Luna’s background in wrestling is the real separator. He’s not just a wrestler that shoots when he’s desperate. He’s an accomplished grappler who’s comfortable mixing it up on the feet because he knows he’s got that “get out of jail free” card anytime he needs it. When you’ve got power in your hands and the confidence that you can take the fight down at will, that changes how you approach exchanges. Luna’s willing to stand and bang because he’s got that ace in his pocket, and that gives him a huge edge mentally and tactically.
Quang Le is dangerous, though. His timing is clean, especially when he’s reacting to opponents rushing in. He can land hard counters and he makes guys pay when they’re sloppy on entries. The problem for Le is that he’s just as hittable as Luna, maybe even more. He doesn’t really move his head, and his footwork is straight lines—no angles, no trickiness. This just means that even is he has moments on the feet he is open for take downs any time Santiago wants.
