Prediction: Dusko Todorovic via Decision
Medina only got his UFC shot because he survived a beating on Contender Series. He didn’t show high level skill, he showed toughness, and while that’s respectable, it’s not enough when you’re going against someone who actually has the tools to pick you apart. Since joining the UFC, he’s looked the same. Marching forward, willing to take damage, but not really showing any meaningful improvement.
Dusko is the way more polished fighter here. On the feet, he’s going to be able to land cleanly, use actual footwork to create angles, and just stay several steps ahead. Medina’s toughness means he’ll keep walking forward and probably eat shots for three rounds, but that doesn’t change the fact he’ll be getting pieced up the whole time. And if Dusko decides he wants to mix things up, he’s got the option to take it to the ground and control from there. Medina doesn’t really have an answer for either look.
The only real danger for Dusko is if he gasses too early. Most likely it’s going to be a clean, one-sided decision where Medina takes a beating but refuses to quit, and Todorovic racks up a comfortable win. That’s why I’m on Dusko—he’s just the far more complete fighter, and Medina’s toughness alone isn’t going to save him here.
