Uros Medic vs Gilbert Urbina

Prediction: Uros Medic via TKO

Gilbert Urbina doesn’t get enough credit for how smart his offense is. His striking is clean, he picks his shots better than people think, and when he mixes in the wrestling, it’s actually well-timed. He’s not just spamming double legs or flailing combos—there’s method behind it. But none of that matters if you can’t stay safe when the fire comes back your way. And that’s where Urbina struggles.

Defensively, he’s too upright. Hands low, chin just kind of hanging out in space, and when he does get clipped, the reactions aren’t great. It’s like he freezes up for a half-second—which is all Medić needs. Because Medić doesn’t hesitate. If he stuns you, he pounces. Vicious follow-ups, sniper hooks, knees up the middle—he knows how to close a show.

And yeah, Uroš isn’t flawless. He’ll overextend, he’ll leave his chin up chasing finishes, and his gas tank isn’t built for a 15-minute chess match. But he’s not going to need 15 minutes here. The pressure he brings early is different. It’s fast, it’s violent, and it’s mean. Urbina would have to be perfect defensively for at least a round and a half before that pressure dips even a little. And perfect defense just isn’t part of his game.
