Prediction: Ange Loosa via Decision
Loosa is coming off a loss, sure, but if you watched that Bonfim fight, you saw a guy who leveled up. Compared to the Bryan Battle fight where he struggled with pace and entries, this version of Loosa was sharper, more calculated, more reactive. He didn’t just show that he was well-rounded — he showed evolution. His striking had way better setups, his timing was cleaner, and when he went for takedowns, they weren’t forced — they were beautifully timed and technically sound. It was the type of performance where you can tell the work’s being done in the gym between fights, not just in the cage.
Now, Rowe always brings that wild card element. He’s got serious size for the division — long limbs, sniper reach, and a sneaky ability to land something heavy in a weird exchange. But his success almost always hinges on moments of opportunity, not sustained dominance. His defensive movement is just not where it needs to be. He can’t pull away from pressure cleanly, his head stays on the center line, and his footwork breaks down when he’s forced backwards. That’s a dangerous mix when you’re facing someone like Loosa, who will walk you down and test that defense all night.
Loosa’s not perfect either. His guard isn’t the tightest, and even though his head movement has gotten a lot better, he still gets caught staring at times. He can get clipped — and Rowe has the kind of long-range power that can make that a problem. But here’s the thing: Loosa’s already fought cleaner strikers than Rowe and didn’t fold. He’s battle-tested, he knows how to bite down and grind, and more importantly, he’s clearly still improving.
Rowe has to land something big to shift this fight. And it’s not impossible — it never is when you’ve got those long arms and some pop behind them. But betting on one perfect shot to bail you out doesn’t beat someone like Loosa, who’s going to bring pressure, pace, level changes, and composure.
So yeah, Loosa is the pick. He’s the more complete fighter, the more disciplined one, and the one showing real upgrades. He’s got all the tools to break Rowe down — and more importantly, the mindset to stick to a winning gameplan even when things get tough.
